How do you expand the capacity of an existing wastewater treatment plant without constructing new tanks? At STP Oberes Surbtal in Switzerland, the answer was found in an intelligent combination of existing infrastructure and innovative technology.In collaboration with our partner Techfina SA, we helped transform the original activated sludge plant into an IFAS system using MUTAG BioChip™ – an efficient and compact solution that blends traditional sludge treatment with MBBR technology.
